Talented calligrapher and past president Laura Stevenson will teach us about the Fibonacci sequence, how it fits in the natural world, and why it is important in the creative process. We will learn how to draw this sequence, both freehand and with a compass, resulting in the Fibonacci spiral. Several techniques for decorating this spiral will be explored and ways to incorporate it into calligraphic design will be discussed.
