Hi Calligraphy Guild Friends,
The Coastal Calligraphers Guild April meeting will be on Sunday, April 7, 2019 starting at 1:00 at the Firehouse. Mary Wildrick will be leading a Textured Letters workshop for the meeting. Please email Mary directly no later than Thursday, April 4 to give her time to prepare materials for the workshop. See below for workshop description and supply list. Hope to see you there!
TEXTURED-DECORATED LETTERS
We will be cutting out a stencil to make our own, unique, letter “stem” and will use that as a basis for our decorated, embellished letters. We will start off by making a quick envelope for the 4 pieces of watercolor paper upon which we will place our fabulously beautiful letters.
STUFF TO BRING
- Watercolor set, #2 pointed brush
- Water container
- Pigma micron 01
- Scissors, glue stick, x-acto, cutting mat, bone folder
- Pencil and eraser
- Paper towels
- Embossing stylus (a smaller one, nothing big and fat)
- Colored stamp pads
- 6 well palette
Additional Items for Embellishing: a pointed pen, a brush to load it, Dr. Martin’s white, gold or metallic watercolors.
